NATCO Honors 2019 Creative Arts Contest Winners
In early November, NATCO honored the winners of the 2019 Creative Arts Contest.
NATCO has sponsored the program annually since 1999 for the 6 schools in the South Shore area: Flippin, Yellville-Summit, Bruno-Pyatt, Bergman, Lead Hill, and Omaha. Students in grades K-8th were invited to participate in coloring a pre-designed sheet or drawing a picture to meet this year's theme, "Kindness in Our Community," which asked students to reflect on how acts of kindness can make a greater impact on our local community.
Students in grades 5th-8th were also given the option to write a script for and produce a video public service announcement rather than draw. The challenging prompt was met with entries that demonstrated personal experiences of how small acts of kindness help create a stronger community.
Each year, the talent displayed awes the judges, who are NATCO employees across all departments in the company. After reviewing the over 900 entries, NATCO awarded $380 in cash prizes to 36 students (listed below). Winners and their families were invited to NATCO's office in Flippin to celebrate with dinner and an awards presentation. NATCO congratulates all winners and their families and is excited to continue this 20+ year tradition next fall!
